In October 2004, history was made when six nursing greats gathered in St. Paul, MN for A Summit of Sages. Over three days, they shared stories of what it took to become leaders in the nursing profession. A Summit of Sages was truly international in scope and laser-focused on the vital role nurses must play in health care AND our society. Convened by the Densford Center at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and moderated by Diana Mason, the Summit featured Mario Cuomo, Suzanne Gordon, Beverly Malone and Joanne Disch. The Sages are: Marie Manthey, Vernice Ferguson, Angela Barron McBride, Margretta Madden Styles, Claire Fagin and Patricia Benner.
The entire conference is now available on high quality compact disc and cassette.
