Leadership at the Point of Care (LPC) —
Inspirational Writings

Participant Writings

At Creative Health Care Management, we believe those who care for people at their most vulnerable do so because they want to make a difference in the lives of the patients and families they serve.

Leadership at the Point of Care (LPC) gives caregivers the inspiration, skills and tools they need to create the environment of caring and healing that patients and families deserve. Participants often arrive at their first LPC session frustrated and discouraged. They leave renewed and reinvigorated.

Participants are frequently moved to share their inspiration with others. We offer some of those pieces here.

N – Never Refusing To Care For Others
U – Unique Unlimited Care For All Individuals
R – Reaching Out With No Restrictions
S – Seeking Ways To Improve One's Life/Health
I – Improving Skills, Improving Care, Improving Health
N – Nurturing With A Wholistic Approach
G – Giving, Caring, Listening Healing. With Love, Respect And Compassion.

NURSING IS. . .

Nursing is more than a profession.
It's not a hat you wear to church on Easter Sunday.
It's not the dirty shoes you remove before entering your home,
It's not a PRN medication.
It's a way of life.

The academics of nursing can be learned,
But the deep inner core of nursing MUST come from within our TRUE selves.

Love for mankind,
Sharing with mankind,
Compassion for mankind,
Having empathy for mankind, cannot be learned or taught in schools.
It MUST come from within our hearts.

Nursing means having the responsibility to treat ALL of mankind, unlimited to, color, nationality, or race, with Love, Respect, and Dignity.

To break someone down, spiritually, emotionally and psychologically, are NOT expected qualities related to the nursing profession, OR, to being a Nurse.

Nursing has the responsibility to BUILD mankind spiritually, psychologically, and emotionally, using their inborn humane instincts. These instincts when used effectively, would enhance the healing process.
Negative words, behavior and humiliation cause the body to become tense.
This tension causes the body to release negative chemicals, which impedes the healing process and can lead to the development of illnesses and hostility.

A kind word, a smile, a gentle touch, a nod, positive body language, and treating each other with Respect, can make a big difference in someone's life.

Life is NOT promised to ANYONE.
Wealth, Position and Power mean NOTHING when faced with Sorrow, Humiliation and Death.

Make your last words to someone, be kind Words.
Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.
Remember, a Little Kindness goes a long way. Life is just TOO short.

Celebrate life with LOVE.
God is within Us
