Cultures of Excellence —

Workshop Objectives
Workshop participants will review the research behind the various national awards and designations related to excellence in health care organizations and examine in detail the essential elements of a culture of excellence, including:

  • moving from traditional leadership to transformational leadership
  • identifying components of professional practice models that determine the quality of nursing care
  • implementing successful shared governance systems
  • creating structures and processes that support outcome measurements that matter

Purpose
Whether your organization is on a formal journey to national recognition or is working to strengthen structures and processes already in place, you will leave this workshop with deeper understanding and clarity about what it takes to create a culture of excellence. This 2-day interactive workshop is designed to answer the following questions:

  • What does a culture of excellence look like in an award-winning organization?
  • What are the essential elements of a culture of excellence?
  • How can a culture of excellence be measured and evaluated?
  • How can I influence sustainable cultural change in my organization?
  • What tools and resources are available to help us get started on our journey to excellence?
