Deborah Yancer is an innovative leader with over 35 years of executive healthcare and nursing leadership experience. She is passionate about creating environments where good people can give great care. A strong record of accomplishment and the ability to work with key constituencies to build programs, strengthen financial performance, and resolve operational issues serves as the foundation for her work. Deborah is a value-driven professional with expertise in communication, implementation, and transformational leadership. She cultivates relationships at all levels of the healthcare system including trustees, physicians, executive leaders, and multidisciplinary health care teams. As a CEO and President she successfully turned around two troubled organizations from a quality, financial and employee relations perspective. Deborah has deep experience in transforming cultures to patient centered, relationship based practices. She has launched Planetree affiliations to develop patient-centered care in three organizations.
Consistently active in professional and community organizations and boards, most noteworthy, Deborah served for six years on the Board of Advisors of the Universities of Shady Grove (USG) holding a variety of leadership roles culminating in Board chair. She is also a member of the American Hospital Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives and Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.
Deborah received her Master's of Science in Nursing from the UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS, Kansas City, Kansas with a major in Clinical Nurse Specialist, Maternal Child Nursing. She received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from ANDREWS UNIVERSITY, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
