Areas of Expertise Lynda began her career with a Diploma in Nursing from Kings County Hospital, and has studied through her BSN (College of Staten Island) and Master’s Degree in Nursing (NYU) an Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate (Adelphi University) and currently in pursuit of her Doctorate in Nursing (Columbia University).
An accomplished educator and author, she has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Nursing (NYU) where she has won several prestigious Nursing Awards, including the Recipient of the NYU's “Sigma Theta Tau Grace Davidson Award" (2001) for the Administrator who significantly contributed to the development of nursing students. She was inducted into the NYSNA Leadership Institute (2005), and in 2007 received their Nursing Service Administration Award for promoting professional nursing.
Her most recent accomplishments include publications in JONA (2005) on “Hospitalists” and an article published in Disaster Nursing on “Utilization of the HEICS approach in anticipation of the next flu season: Hospitals weather the storm!”
