For more than 10 years, she has served a variety of clients as an organizational consultant providing solutions for executives, leadership teams, and staff members. She is an expert in what it takes to transform organizations into cultures of excellence. Her skill to inspire and engage enables her to effectively help organizations analyze existing situations, develop measurable outcomes, create and implement programs, and develop transformational leaders.
Prior to joining CHCM, Leah had experience in almost every type of healthcare setting... acute care, public health (schools, clinics, and homeless shelter), academic faculty, and leadership/management positions in the 11th Magnet® designated facility in the US. Her doctoral dissertation, titled Nurse Participation in Patient Education in a Community Hospital, 1987) is an ethnographic study of the politics of how information is shared among practitioners and patients/families. She has a longstanding history of both writing and public speaking.
In October 2001, Leah was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve as a charter member of the Board of the Florida Center for Nursing where she served until her terms expired.
